On April 1, 2020 at 6:05 AM, APD officers were dispatched to the North Frontage Road in the 6600 block east I-40 on a single vehicle accident involving motorcycle. A 2016 Indian motorcycle, driven by a 41-year-old female of Amarillo, had been westbound on the frontal road. The motorcycle struck the curb at the entrance ramp to I-40 causing her to lose control of the motorcycle. The driver was taken to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries. No helmet is a factor in this collision. The Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department is investigating the incident.
