Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that police are seeking the public’s help in identifying the below pictured individual wanted for questioning in a criminal mischief incident that occurred on Friday, March 27, 2020.

A firearm was discharged in the area of 960 18th Avenue, with police observing property damage consistent with gunfire. The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion with dark framed glasses wearing a dark colored winter hat, dark colored jacket with a hood, a grey sweatshirt with a hood under the dark colored jacket, dark colored pants, and dark colored shoes.

Detectives investigating this incident are seeking the public’s help in quickly identifying this suspect as part of this investigation. Director Ambrose urges anyone with information about the suspect to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
