1. Assault with a Deadly Weapon (1645) Church Street and Harrison Street, Seaport District The adult female victim and the suspect got into a verbal argument. During the argument, the suspect hit the victim with a shovel, causing non-life-threatening injuries. The responding officers took the suspect into custody without incidents. ARRESTED: Luis Vera, 47, was booked for assault with a deadly weapon.

2. Carjacking (1700) 1600 Block of Thirteenth Street, Park District The adult male victim was sitting inside his vehicle in the listed area when two suspects approached him. The victim recognized one of the suspects and allowed them to get into his vehicle. Once inside, the suspects brandished guns at the victim and demanded the victim’s vehicle. The victim got out of his vehicle and the suspects fled in it. Officers recovered the victim’s vehicle nearby, but the suspects had already fled. SUSPECTS: Two Black males 20-25 years of age.

3. Resisting Arrest (1700) Martin Luther King Boulevard and B Street, Park District Officers investigating an injury collision at the intersection attempted to arrest one of the drivers for DUI. The driver resisted arrest and was taken into custody after a brief struggle. ARRESTED: Arthur Johnson, 43, for DUI and resisting arrest.

4. Weapon Arrest (1806) El Dorado Street and Churchill Street, Civic District Officers conducted a traffic stop at the location. A search of the vehicle revealed a concealed and loaded firearm. ARRESTED: Dangelo Morgan, 24, Willie Starks, 26, and Damontee Brown, 20, for weapons charges.
