Town Uses New Program to Fight Virus

CHIEF PRAISES PUBLIC WORKS STAFF ON NEW EFFORT TO FIGHT VIRUS:
South Brunswick Office of Emergency Management Director Chief Raymond Hayducka praised the unsung heroes in the battle against the COVID 19 virus. “There are a ton of local people who are making a difference in this battle against this virus, from the workers at the food stores to the delivery people, we are all in this together. I wanted to take a second to recognize all the behind the scenes people in the municipal workforce who are contributing. We have been in a non-stop race to contain the virus and stay ahead wherever possible. There have been long days and nights trying to ensure our community is as safe as possible. In the past 12 hours staff from South Brunswick Public Works have worked tirelessly to sanitize our entire police fleet and municipal vehicles. The new cleaner and disinfectant we are employing kills illness-causing germs and bacteria on contact and keeps on self-sanitizing for up to one month. As the cases rise we want our officers and community to be as protected as possible and this program will help us, but none of this would have been possible with the public works staff putting in the extra effort. So when you thank our officers for all they are doing, remember there is a lot of behind the scenes work that makes it possible. So I thank the public works staff for going the extra mile in our community’s time of need.”
