03-28-20: There have been zero positive cases of COVID-19 in Rutherford County. 112 individuals in the county have been tested. 66 tests have come back negative, 46 tests are still pending and 0 tests have come back positive. Rutherford County issued a Stay at Home Order which went into effect this morning at 6:00 am. To read the full order go to www.rutherfordcountync.gov and click on the Covid-19 box. Our local Public Health Director, Karen Powell stated today a great reminder to us all, "The virus doesn't move. People do. If we stay still it will die." We are urging citizens to please stay at home. If you have been tested you must quarantine yourself until the Health Department receives your lab results. The Emergency Operations Center encourages all citizens to practice social distancing whenever possible.
