NARRATIVE:

On Friday, March 27, 2020; The Pomona Police Department's, Major Crimes Task Force (MCTF) served a search warrant at an apartment within the complex located at 586 E. Phillips Blvd. Officers initially contacted three occupants at the residence who were somewhat cooperative. However, a stand-off took place between two additional occupants and the Officers on scene. The investigation continued after two males finally exited the apartment. A subsequent search revealed: two assault rifles, two handguns, armor piercing bullets, high capacity magazines, narcotics, and cash. All of the evidence collected suggested a drug sales operation, and one of the assault rifles was found to be reported stolen. Christopher Perez, a convicted felon, was found to be responsible for items that were located. He was taken into-custody along with, Saul Rojas who was arrested for probation violation. Both suspects were booked into the Pomona Police Department’s city jail and charged with the aforementioned offenses.
