March 27, 2020 Knowlton Township Coronavirus Update

As of this morning, there are 36 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Warren County.  Two of them are persons who have recovered.  At this time, there are still no cases in Knowlton Township.

There remains an acute need for COVID-19 testing kits and personal protective equipment (PPE) in our area.  Anyone who can spare 

  • Surgical Masks
  • N95 Respirators
  • Disposable Gowns
  • Disposable Face Shields
  • Eye protectors
  • Nitrile Gloves
  • Latex Gloves
  • Antiseptic Wipes
Should contact the clerk at (908) 496-4816 ext. 6 and we will get them to the County for local distribution. 

Here are some other developments that may affect Knowlton residents:
  • The federal government's Coronavirus Response Act, which was just passed, includes $70 million for low-income NJ residents to buy groceries.  To receive the funds, you must be enrolled in the NJ SNAP program.
 
  • The state of NJ has approved a package of initiatives to help businesses in the coronavirus pandemic.  It includes grants for small businesses and zero-interest loans for mid-size businesses.  For details, go to:  https://cv.business.nj.gov.     
 
  • Governor Murphy issued Executive Order 110 directing all child care centers in New Jersey to certify that they will solely serve as emergency child-care centers for the children of essential workers. Child care centers that do not certify that they exclusively care for the children of essential workers must close by Wednesday, April 1.
