CITY HALL: See web message, Mayor Hartz statement regarding COVID-19.

To Our Residents,

These are challenging and uncertain times in Lake Geneva, in Wisconsin, and in the world. What is certain is the courage and resilience of our city and its people. It is what has sustained us in the past, and it will see us through the current crisis.

As we respond to this extraordinary crisis, we want to assure you that the City will continue to provide essential services to our residents, City employees, and general public. As we all follow the ever changing directives from government officials and medical experts we recognize some of our new realities: schools are closed indefinitely, day care centers are shuttered, restaurants and bars are shut down, banks only have drive-through operations, and doctors are screening patients on the telephone before receiving them. It is a new day. It is only temporary.

The Lake Geneva Police and Fire Departments are still ensuring our safety to the best of their abilities, garbage will still be picked up, water is still running and sewage is still being treated, and the streets will be plowed if we have a spring snow. We are supporting and caring for our employees and they will continue to support and care for all of us.
Thank you for letting us be part of this incredible community. Thank you for the chance to serve you. Thank you for being patient with us and with each other while we all figure this out. As many of you remind me, and I remind others, we are going to get through this. Together.

Mayor Tom Hartz
