Community Information - Chicago Issuing EAS Message Today, may be received by devices locally 
Grundy County EMA has just learned that the City of Chicago is planning to issue an Emergency Alert System (EAS) message today regarding the COVID-19 situation. It is intended to address issues pertaining to current closures and is expected to be issued after Mayor Lightfoot's news conference. Otherwise, we are unaware of the specific message header, content, or timing. Because Grundy County is served by Chicago area broadcasters, cable providers, cellular carriers, etc., it is likely that many residents in Grundy County will receive this message through one or more means.
