 Wilmington Police have arrested a man on gun and drug charges following an investigation.

On March 24 at approximately 12:49 p.m. members of the Drug, Organized Crime and Vice Division, with the assistance of the Street Crimes Unit, executed a search warrant in the 1100 block of East 11^th Street.  Police took 18-year-old Brian Coverdale into custody without incident.

Police recovered a loaded .380 caliber handgun with an obliterated serial number, 225.9 grams of marijuana and $381 in currency.

Coverdale was charged with the following offenses:

• Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
• Possession of a Weapon with and Obliterated or Altered Serial Number
• Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Deliver
• Possession of a Weapon by a Person Prohibited who is also in Possession of a Controlled Substance
