CITY OF EAST CHICAGO BUS TRANSIT NOTICE

Due to the COVID-19 health emergency and in accordance with Gov. Holcomb’s EXECUTIVE ORDER 20-08, specifically, Sec. 6 Prohibited and Permitted Travel, Sec.16 Essential Travel, and Sec.17 Social Distancing Requirements…

East Chicago Transit will limit riders to one trip rotation per route, per bus. Riders will have to disembark at a location along the route or when they return to the location that they entered the bus. Riders must also comply with the social distancing requirement to the greatest extent possible. This order will go into effect Mar. 26, 2020 and will remain in effect until further notice.

This order will lessen the exposure to all riders as well as our drivers. We thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
