We need your help Antelope Valley. Do you recognize this car involved in a hit and run?

Lancaster Detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of an unknown vehicle who struck a pedestrian earlier in March.

On Thursday March 12, 2020 at approximately  9:42 am, a male pedestrian in his 40’s was walking northbound crossing the street at Avenue J-2 when an unidentified dark colored sedan, possibly an early 2000s Nissan Altima made an unsafe U-Turn and struck the pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle made no attempt to stop and render aid to the pedestrian and as a result of the collision, the pedestrian suffered a broken leg and was transported to AVH for treatment.

Video surveillance on Sierra Highway and Avenue J-2 captured the incident and a blurred view of the vehicle when the pedestrian was struck.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or may know anything regarding the collision and/or the driver of the vehicle is asked to please contact Lancaster Sheriff’s Station Detective Gil Borruel reference case:  920-05257-1123-251.

Lancaster Sheriff’s Station polices the City of Lancaster, Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, and the unincorporated communities of Antelope Acres, Lake Los Angeles, and Quartz Hill in the Antelope Valley.
