Beginning March 24, vehicle access to City parks will be closed to align with the BI Metro Park & Recreation District closures. For now, this means that parking areas will be closed for John T. Nelson at Strawberry Park and for Pritchard Park. The playground area at Waterfront Park is currently closed due to construction and will remain closed.
In addition, the Parks District has also closed all bathrooms, playgrounds, camping areas, dog parks, disc golf, tennis and pickleball courts, water drinking stations, and sports fields during the ’Stay Home, Stay Healthy’ order for the safety of park users and staff.
All City and Parks District parks will still be accessible for people walking or biking. Learn more here.
In addition, all BISD playgrounds, play fields and tracks are closed in an effort to help stop the spread of COVID-19.
