5pm Monday Update; Restaurant List; Medical Reserve Corps; Council Meeting
5PM MONDAY UPDATE:
The state has announced 935 new confirmed COVID-19 cases, bringing the total state-wide to 2,844, with 210 total cases in Middlesex County, and 1 new case in South Brunswick, a woman in her 40’s who is recovering at home.
South Brunswick Office of Emergency Management remains diligent, monitoring the situation 24/7 in an effort to provide our township with the very best response to this threat.
While stores continue to restock shelves daily, we would like to remind our residents to maintain 6’ of distance while shopping, even in checkout lines, and to minimize the amount of time spent in stores in order to comply with social distancing guidelines.
In addition, here is a list of restaurants in South Brunswick that are still operating:

Medical Reserve Corps:
The Medical Reserve Corps is a component of the Federal Citizen Corps that brings together local health professionals and others with relevant skills to volunteer in their community. They will assist local, existing community medical response systems, as well as provide a group of readily trained and available resources to help the community deal with pressing public health needs. It is designed to augment existing health and medical staffing with community-based volunteers for deployment and use during all forms of emergency and disaster – especially for public health emergencies.
