On March 26, 2020, the Coroner’s Office said upon further investigation, the fetus was determined to be non-human.

On March 23, 2020, at approximately 8:30 am, deputies were dispatched to the area of Dalea Street and Meadow Grove Court in Oildale for a possible fetus that was located. Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation. It was learned that at some point in the past few days, a human fetus was disposed in a dumpster in the 700 block of Meadow Grove Court. At this time, it has not been determined who disposed of the fetus and the investigation is ongoing.
