Warren COVID-19 Update

Mayor Mick Marion and Deputy Mayor George Lazo recorded a broadcast with important information for residents regarding the Township’s response to COVID-19. This video can be found on the Township’s Public Access Channel (Altice Channel 15 and Verizon Channel 44). The video can also be found on the Township website on the COVID-19 page, Twitter at @WarrenTwpNJ and Facebook at Warren Township, New Jersey.
 
Mayor Marion and Deputy Mayor Lazo visited grocery stores and pharmacies in the Township today. The stores agreed to provide information to the Township regarding customers who may need special assistance and the Mayor offered the assistance of Township agencies as well. Mayor Marion stated that our residents need access to their medicines at this very critical time and the Township will assist in any way possible. 
 
Additional information is as follows:
 
  • The Township Health Department has advised that there are three confirmed cases of the Coronavirus in the Township. 
 
  • Township offices remain closed to the public. Residents are urged to utilize the online resources through the website at www.warrennj.org.
 
  • The Warren Township Police Department is suspending the issuance of Canvassers and Solicitors Licensing activities in order to insure compliance with social distancing.
 
  • Businesses requiring financial assistance can obtain loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration. A fact sheet is on the website.
 
  • The NJ Economic Development Authority is also preparing a financial assistance plan. Details will be issued by the state during the week of March 23, 2020.
 
  • Important information has been posted to the COVID-19 page on the Township website.
 
Deputy Mayor Lazo encourages all residents to patronize Township restaurants, which are open for take-out and delivery.
 
Mayor Marion reminds everyone to respect “social distancing” and wishes good health to all during this trying time.
