Office on Aging Services

All municipal buildings, parks and playgrounds remain closed to the public until further notice. Staff remain available by telephone and email for any assistance needed. Visit www.southrivernj.org for a telephone directory.

Utility or tax payments at Borough Hall are accepted in the form of check or money order via the drop box located on the outside of the building.

The Office on Aging staff will continue to support our senior members in the following manner:

Telephone Support 
Monday - Friday, 9:45am-3pm (732-257-2340)

Necessity Transportation (by reservation; call to schedule)
- Medical appointments and related errands (pharmacy, radiology, lab work) for individual non-symptomatic members
- Stop & Shop East Brunswick & ShopRite Spotswood for groups no larger than 5, between the hours of 6am-7:30am (hours designated by the store reserved solely for the elderly)
- Food Bank on Wednesdays, between the hours of 10am-12pm, round-trip transportation or call-ahead pre-packaged items delivered immediately inside the member’s front door

Online grocery order pick-up & delivery (call to schedule)
Pre-paid grocery pick-up from any local supermarket (where delivery services are unavailable due to high-demand), delivered immediately inside the member’s front door

We are utilizing our 20-passenger bus in order to comply with safe social distancing, and remain hyper-vigilant about disinfecting and sanitizing all exposed surfaces to ensure our seniors’ safety as well as the safety of our staff.

PROTECT YOURSELF

Residents are reminded that the best way to protect yourself is to limit your time in public spaces, stay home unless absolutely necessary, practice social distancing guidelines and use proper and frequent hand washing techniques regardless if you think you may have been exposed or not.
