Wilmington Police arrest juvenile on gun charges, recover firearm: 
Wilmington Police have arrested and charged a 15-year-old male on gun charges.
On March 19 at approximately 6:14 p.m., a police officer was on proactive patrol in the area of 23rd and West Streets when they observed a 15-year-old male acting suspiciously. As the officer approached, the male began to flee, at one point dropping a firearm.
The juvenile was taken into custody without incident, and police recovered the 9mm semi-automatic handgun.
The 15-year-old male has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and committed to the New Castle County Detention Center on $16,500 secured bail.
