3PM Update - 1 New Resident Tests Positive
We were notified this afternoon that a third resident from South Brunswick has tested positive for COVID-19. The woman in her 70’s is hospitalized at this time. Middlesex County now has 65 cases of people testing positive for the virus. The Middlesex County Health Department is the lead in the investigation of the case and is responsible for all notifications.
We will continue to update the community on information as it develops. There are many sources of information, some of which may not be accurate. To be clear, there is NO food shortage at area food stores.
Effective 8:00 PM tonight, the closure of all personal-care businesses and social clubs which cannot comply with social distancing guidelines until further notice, including:
• Barber shops
• Hair salons
• Spas
• Nail and eyelash salons
• Tattoo parlors
South Brunswick Social Services is coordinating getting food to residents in need who are unable to get to get to the food stores. If you are in need of food contact Jeanne Wert at (732) 329-4000 Ext. 7674 or email [email protected].
