The following is an update pertaining to the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
 

Effective tonight, March 19th at 8:00pm, personal care service facilities must close. This includes cosmetology shops, barber shops, beauty salons, hair salons, nail salons, electrology facilities, spas (including day spas and medical spas at which solely elective and cosmetic medical procedures are performed), massage parlors, tanning salons, tattoo parlors.

Health facilities that provide medically necessary or therapeutic services can remain open.

Effective tonight, March 19th at 8:00pm, public and private social clubs must close. This includes American Legions, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Knights of Columbus and any other social clubs associated with community service organizations.

The above statewide changes will remain in effect until further notice.

Non-essential travel is strongly discouraged between 8:00pm and 5:00am. This not a curfew or travel ban but is strongly recommended.


All public, private and parochial schools and universities are closed.

All events over 50 people are cancelled.

Racetracks, movie theaters, casinos, gyms, fitness centers, concert venues and nightclubs are closed.

Other non-essential businesses must close between 8:00pm & 5:00am. These non-essential business can open between 5:00am & 8:00pm if they limit occupancy to no more than 50 persons and follow social distancing guidelines. Essential businesses (grocery stores, pharmacies, gas stations) can remain open. 

Beginning at 8:00pm tonight, restaurants can remain open during their normal business hours but are limited to food take-out and delivery services only.

State motor vehicle agencies are closed until at least Monday, March 30th. All driver licenses, non-driver IDs, vehicle registrations, and inspection stickers expiring before May 31 have been extended by two months. Visit www.njmvc.gov for more information.
