Dear Neighbors and Friends;

We as a Community, as families and as neighbors, as is the rest of the world are experiencing an unprecedented and life changing event. This Virus has impacted all of us in so many ways. I, our Council our administrative and our Police continue to be in Contact with Somerset County Board of Health and the Governor's office daily, I thank them for their dedication. Adhering to the requirements of the Board of Health and the Federal Standards while difficult is vitally important to ensure that we beat this Virus as soon as possible, and we will.
At the direction of the Governor and County the following have taken place in Far Hills. All large gatherings such as the VNA rummage sale, Events at Moorland Farms, or on Personal properties where 50 or more people will be in attendance have been postponed or cancelled at this time.

The Fairgrounds playground equipment is not to be used. The walking path will remain open. This by order of our JIF insurance.

1: Do not use the park and facilities if you are not feeling well
2: Groups of more than 10 persons are prohibited
3: Maintain at least 6 feet social distance between users
4: Wash your hands as soon as possible. Do not touch your face.
5: Park hours are 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Governor’s curfew)

I and our attorney have reached out to the County court regarding our COAH discussions and these have been granted an extension during this health crisis. All Court proceedings are suspended, and I have cancelled the March 23rd Council meeting, will most likely cancel the April Planning Board meeting and determinations on future meetings will be made on a day by day decision.

As your Mayor, I will continue to update you as events unfold and ask that all remain safe and healthy as we as a community respond to the challenges this Health issue has caused.
