Huntington Woods Public Safety General Guidelines during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Huntington Woods Public Safety General Guidelines during the COVID-19 Pandemic:

Dear Residents,

As a result of the CDC COVID-19 precautions, we are instituting some general guidelines to our public safety officers. These guidelines are consistent with the CDC recommendations as well as other State agencies. Our goal is to ensure that all first responders remain on the job to respond to emergency calls for service when needed. Therefore, it is important to limit contact with potential carriers of the virus whenever possible. We would ask our residents for their assistance as well as their patience during this unprecedented time. The following procedures will take effect immediately and until further notice:

The Public Safety building is open for emergencies. Non-emergency reports can either be taken over the phone by calling 248.541.1180, or on a walk-in basis at the Public Safety Department. Examples of common non-emergency reports are minor larcenies, neighbor complaints, non-injury accidents, identity theft, and malicious damage to property.

Parking ticket payments may be placed in the drop box outside of the PS building entrance.

Dog licenses may be applied for online, and a tag will be mailed to you.

The drop-box for unwanted prescription drugs is not available until further notice.

Please follow the CDC guidelines. For example, if you develop symptoms such as fever, cough, and/or difficulty breathing, and have been in close contact with a person known to have COVID-19, stay home and call your healthcare provider. Older patients and individuals who have severe underlying medical conditions or are immunocompromised should contact their healthcare provider early, even if the illness is mild. If you have severe symptoms such as persistent pain or pressure in the chest, new confusion or lethargy, or blue coloring of the lips, seek care immediately or call 911.

Respectfully,

Andrew L. Pazuchowski
Director of Public Safety/Chief of Police
