Changes to public access at Police Headquarters.

As we continue to monitor the effects of the Covid-19 virus and follow the guidance of our local, County and State authorities, effective Wednesday, March 18, 2020, the following changes will be implemeted:

All civilian fingerprinting, not required by law or statute, will be suspended.  Magan's Law registrants must still be fingerprinted as per their Court Orders.  Megan's Law registrants must make an appointment with their assigned detecttive prior to coming to police headquarters.

All new applications for gun permits and firearm identification cards will be by appointment only.  Please call (732) 745-5216 to schedule an appointment.  All in-progress applications will be completed as usual and the applicants will be notified with further instructions upon completion of the completed permits.

Handicap permit applications will still be accepted.  All applicants should make an appointment with the Police Director's Office, (732) 745-5178, prior to coming to police headquarters.

The Front Desk and Police Records Room is open for business as usual.  The Front Desk is open 24/7 to the public and the Records Room is open from 8:00am to 3:45pm.
