Full Notification

This morning, I was informed by Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission that a resident of the Borough of Waldwick was confirmed to have Coronavirus (COVID-19). The individual is a male in his 40‘s.  This case is currently being investigated by Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission who will work to identify others this individual was in contact with that may be at risk of contracting the virus. Northwest Bergen Regional Health Commission will continue to monitor this individual and those they were in close contact with.
 
While the confirmation of this case is of great concern, this is by no means time to panic.  This case reaffirms the importance of the CDC guidelines to practice social distancing, wash hands, disinfect surfaces, and avoiding large gatherings. I urge you to make these guidelines part of your daily routine.  We are continually working with Health Officials, the Office of Emergency Management, the County, and the State to manage the Coronavirus and its impact on our Borough. 
 
Unfortunately, there is a likelihood that additional positive Coronavirus cases will be confirmed in the weeks ahead. We will not provide notices on each additional confirmed case, but we will do everything possible to provide you with the most up to date information on the Borough’s response to the virus.
