Advisory

Grandview City Hall to Close to Public Effective March 18

In response to the first confirmed COVID-19 case in Jackson County, the Mayor and Board of Aldermen have decided it is in the best interest of public health to close City Hall to the public. Prevention is key and this is the appropriate action to take now.

Effective, Tuesday, March 18, the following City facilities will be closed to the public through March 31:

  • Grandview City Hall, including DMV Licensing Office
  • The View Community Center
  • Grandview Fire Stations (no tours)
  • Grandview Parks & Public Works Maintenance Facility
  • Grandview Parks & Recreation playground equipment

The Grandview Police Station lobby entrance WILL REMAIN OPEN, but there will be no tours or ride-alongs allowed.

During this time, we encourage people to handle City business through phone and email, as well as our available online services:

  • Grandview Police Department provides an online police report for anyone who has been a victim of a minor crime that’s at www.grandview.org/incidentreport
  • People interested in applying for jobs are encouraged to do so online at www.grandview.org/careers
  • Paying court fines or traffic tickets at www.grandview.org/municipalcourt
  • For other actions or questions, please email [email protected]

Scheduled board and commission meetings without necessary action items are postponed. City events through April 4 have either been canceled or postponed. Because this situation has many moving parts, we will be reevaluating all cancellations and closures on a daily basis.

Closings and cancellations can be inconvenient, but right now it’s important for all of us to do our part.
