WARREN TOWN HALL CLOSING TO THE PUBLIC

As a result of the State of Emergency issued by Mayor Marion, the following procedures will be in effect for Township offices:

1. As of Tuesday, March 17, 2020, all Municipal offices will be closed to the public. Members of the public seeking to do business with Township departments should contact departments via phone or email. A drop-box will be located in the vestibule of the Town Hall entrance for residents to drop off payments, permit applications, and other pertinent documents.

2. Residents requiring personal assistance should contact the department directly. Contact information for each department is located on the Warren Township website at warrennj.org under Resources – Township Directory.

3. Citizens requiring the assistance of the Warren Police Department for non-emergency matters should contact the Police Department at (908) 753-1000 for proper guidance. Citizens with non-emergency matters will not have access to the Police Department.

4. By Order of New Jersey Supreme Court Chief Justice, Stuart Rabner, all Municipal Court sessions are cancelled between the period of March 16 and March 27, 2020. Citizens requiring the services of the Warren Municipal Court should contact (908) 753-1225. Municipal Court payments may be paid online through either njcourts.gov or through the Warren Township website.

5. Residents should utilize the online services available through the Township website to pay their taxes, sewer bill, and permit applications, to the extent possible.

6. Per the guidance of New Jersey Division of Fire, inspections by the Fire Marshal’s office are being suspended, except for threat of life safety. For questions regarding fire permit applications, please contact the Fire Marshal’s office at (908) 753-8000, Ext. 274.

7. As of today, Construction Code inspections by the Construction Department will continue until further notice. Please contact the Warren Construction Code office at (908) 753-8000, Ext. 242. Inspectors will be in contact with the applicant prior to conducting the inspection. Inspections may be curtailed as health conditions warrant.

8. All parks and playgrounds are closed to groups of seven (7) or more.

9. The Warren Park and Ride has been suspended until further notice. For further information, please go to https://warrennj.org/covid-19/. The Township will continue to provide updates to residents as additional information becomes available.

The Township Committee, Office of Emergency Management, Health Department and all other Township Departments are working during this time to ensure the health and safety of all residents.
