In keeping with precautions recommended by numerous health organizations, the Watchung Police Department will also practice "social distancing" until further notice in an effort to keep our first responders healthy.  The police department will continue to provide services to our residents and guests alike, but where possible, we will attempt to do so without face-to-face interaction.  The police department will continue to respond to all emergencies as we would normally do, but we will also attempt to handle non-emergent calls by phone.  Additionally, we are limiting public access to police headquarters, so please request records and information by phone or email.  Please check www.watchungnj.gov and www.watchungpd.com for official updates and information.  We thank you for your cooperation and understanding during this time, and we look forward to returning to normal operations as soon as possible.  To further assist in stopping the spread of this virus, please follow Executive Order 104 issued by Governor Murphy on March 16, 2020.
