Good morning, this is Sheriff Lowell Griffin. Due to the amount of information that is being updated daily, and sometimes hourly, on the COVID-19 virus,  I wanted to make sure that the most accurate information was easily accessible to the citizens of this amazing county.

Yesterday I directed staff to add a section to our mobile app that will provide the most current information regarding COVID-19; this new feature will provide access to information directly from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control) concerning travel Information, frequently asked questions,  subscription access to the CDC newsletter, and local news updates about COVID-19.

This information is now live on our app and can be accessed by clicking on the COVID-19 (red) Icon on the home screen.  (If you open the app and do not see this red icon, please visit the App Store or google play store and download the most current version of our app and/or force close the app and restart it.)

Over the days and weeks to come, I am certain we will all experience inconveniences and will have to adjust our normal routines.  I ask that everyone exercise patience during this aberrant time. I ask that you continue to pray for our emergency service workers and health care workers as they are the men and women on front lines who continue put their lives at risk to protect others during this extraordinary event.
