THIS POLICY SUPERCEDES THE PROVISIONS OF ANY PREVIOUS POLICY.  ALL POLICIES OR PARTS OF ANY POLICY INCONSISTENT WITH THE PROVISIONS OF THIS POLICY ARE REPEALED.
 
EMERGENCY PLAN FOR RAHWAY CITY HALL PUBLIC ACCESS RESTRICTIONS
Out of an abundance of caution it is necessary to restrict public access to the Rahway Municipal Complex in order to help limit the spread of COVID-19.  
City Hall will be closed to the public from Tuesday 3/17/2020 through Sunday 3/22/2020.
 
Access to Rahway City Hall will be restricted effective Monday 03/23/2020 with the following conditions and exceptions:
 

• Citizens are asked to refrain from coming to City Hall for any reason unless an emergency exists. Citizens are asked to use the Municipal Directory appended to this order to make inquires and get further information specific to their need.
• All Public meetings at City Hall are cancelled until further notice.
• Rahway City Hall will have very limited access from 10am until 2pm Monday through Friday. Only those with an immediate need and with an appointment will be allowed access.
• Only the MAIN REAR DOOR will be used for access.  There will be a check point in place where the nature of business will be determined, and instructions given. There will be no access by other than essential personnel beyond this checkpoint without an appointment.
• Access to the Police Lobby will be on an EMERGENCY BASIS ONLY EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.
• The Police Records window is closed. Those with emergent records needs are asked to email their request to [email protected]. Records personnel will do their best to fulfill all records requests online. Auto Accident reports are always available online at http://www.crashdocs.org/nj-rahwaypd
