Due to the coronavirus health emergency, the Hawthorne Municipal Building will close to the public today, 3/16, at 11 am.  Effective tommorrow, Tuesday, 3/17, and continuing until further notice, limited in-person services will be available from 9am to 11am only. Staff wll continue to be availble via phone or email during regular buisness hours, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

All payments to the Tax Office for taxes and water bills, and payments to the Municipal Court, must be made online, or mailed, or left in the dropbox in the Municipal Building parking lot. Mailed or drop-box payments must be via check or money order. No payments will be accepted in person.

Marriage license will be issued by appointment only from 9am to 11am.
