Grandview Closings and Cancellations In Response to COVID-19

The City of Grandview is responding to COVID-19 recommendations by taking additional steps to ensure the health of our community and staff.

PARKS & RECREATION:
On Monday, March 16, The View Community Center will be closing to members and guests. Staff will still be on site from 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. At this time, the plan is to be closed for one week through Sunday, March 22 and we will reevaluate on a daily basis.

All shelter rentals and rentals at The View are also canceled for the week. Anyone with a reservation will be able to reschedule or receive a full refund.

In addition, Parks and Recreation has postponed all recreational programming, activities, events, childcare, adult and youth sports, fitness classes and paid programming. These are all inconveniences, and we apologize. However, these are unforeseen circumstances. Any future closings or postponements will be posted at www.grandview.org and Grandview Parks & Recreation social media channels.

CITY HALL:
At this time, City Hall will remain open and continue to provide essential City services like permits, business license applications, and Jackson County Property Tax Payments. Over the weekend, Grandview maintenance crews conducted a deep clean of City Hall. Maintenance crews will further increase the frequency of their cleaning throughout the day.

The Grandview DMV Licensing office will remain open, but customers are encouraged to sign in remotely on our check-in system to better manage the number of customers in the office throughout the day. You can sign in here: https://kiosk.na1.qless.com/kiosk/app/home/100100000047

Effective Monday, March 16 all non-essential City meetings are canceled for the week, including boards and commission meetings; however the Board of Aldermen will still meet for a work session on Tuesday, March 17 at 7:00 p.m.

MUNICIPAL COURT:
The 16th Judicial Circuit Court of Jackson County has postponed municipal court cases through March 27. The Grandview Municipal Division will continue to conduct daily business.

This is a situation with a lot of moving parts, and City staff and elected leaders are monitoring it closely. All updates will be posted on www.grandview.org and our social media channels @cityofgrandview. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
