With confirmed cases of Coronavirus in neighboring municipalities, we anticipate cases will develop in Waldwick and we expect to see an increase in cases regionally and across the country. All of us must take measures to protect ourselves, our neighbors, and the most vulnerable in our community.

Please remember that if you are sick, call your primary care physician first instead of going to the emergency room. The best thing residents can continue to do is to practice social distancing, wash your hands, and most importantly, stay home if you are sick.
 
The Bergen County Executive issued an Executive Order requiring that all places of public gathering limit attendance at any event or gathering in order to comply with CDC guidelines related to “social distancing,” and the directive issued by the Governor of the State of New Jersey related to gatherings of over 250 persons. All workplaces are strongly encouraged to implement and observe CDC workplace social distancing measures, such as replacing in-person meetings with teleworking, modifying, postponing, or cancelling mass gatherings.
 
The County Executive recommends that all places of public gathering hosting 50 or more persons use their best efforts to record the name, address, phone or other appropriate contact information of all employees, patrons, visitors, vendors or any other persons within their facilities in order to aid health officials in the event contact tracing activities should become necessary in connection with their operations.

• Events at the Ambulance Corps Upstairs / Senior Room
• Non-Borough events in Borough Council Chambers
• Adult Services Clinic
• Hydrant flushing
• Planning Board and Zoning Board meetings (regular and executive)
• Environmental Committee and Green Team meetings
• Municipal Court. Those effected will be notified of a new court date. The Court office remains open.
• Non-essential inspections by the Water Department, Construction Department, and Fire Prevention Bureau
• March 17^th meeting with the Northwest Bergen Sewer Authority to discuss odor issues.
• Waldwick Public Library. Due dates have been extended two weeks and fines will not accrue. The bookdrop is unavailable.

 
 
To help our residents avoid unnecessary interaction with the public, below are ways residents can conduct Borough business without face-to-face contact. Please consider using these resources as an alternative to visiting Borough Hall in person. Those experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus, such as fever, shortness of breath, and cough, will not be permitted in any public building.

Tax payments - Taxes may be paid by ACH automatic withdrawal from a checking account, by mailing a check to Borough Hall, or by dropping a check in the locked drop box in the driveway of Borough Hall.
