Burlington Township Community Update on COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

In an effort to keep our community members up-to-date on the most recent information concerning COVID-19 (Coronavirus) as it pertains to Burlington Township, the Burlington Twp. Police Department would like to share the following:

Burlington Twp. School District

For information as it pertains to the schools visit the following website: https://sites.google.com/view/btsd-covid19/home.  On March 13, the school district released a letter to inform families that they will be moving to "virtual learning" beginning Monday, March 16th.  Students are anticipated to be brought back to school on Tuesday, April 21.  However, this date is subject to change.  To read the full letter and the district's instructions to families, visit the following web link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jzUQwzeAUx1mK3YNpUMMvUee8pV0WedvsdOjkaEu1rg/edit?usp=sharing


Burlington Twp. & Burlington City Municipal Court

At this time, the Municipal Court sessions scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 (8AM - 2PM) and Thursday, March 19 (5PM-8PM) will be cancelled.  The resumption of the Court schedule will be evaluated next week.  The Court office will remain open at this time.  Payments for fines or costs are encouraged to be made using NJMC Direct, http://twp.burlington.nj.us/content/84/169/default.aspx.  Anyone with questions about Municipal Court closures should call (609) 239-5825.

Burlinton Township Tax Office Payments

In order to protect our residents, we would like to encourage the use of alternative methods for paying Taxes, Water & Sewer as the Township addresses the Coronavirus threat. Payments can be made using our online system http://twp.burlington.nj.us/content/163/239/default.aspx or by mail to the Tax Collector’s Office, 851 Old York Road, Burlington NJ 08016.

Community Gatherings

On March 12, The Burlington County Health Department released guidelines for organizations in the county where people gather in large quantity.  These organizations are being encouraged to cancel or postpone gatherings in excess of 250 people.  This information can be read here: http://www.co.burlington.nj.us/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=1230

There is also a statewide hotline that is available 24/7 to answer any questions you may have, 1-800-222-1222.

Members and officials of Burlington Township's Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) will continue to hold meetings to discuss COVID-19 and to limit its exposure in the community.  Future updates from the Burlington Twp. Police Dept. can be expected.  We encourage all those with questions to contact the office in which it pertains to.  The contact information for all Burlington Twp.
