The City of California City is closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19).  We are aware that some cities have declared a state of emergency due to the COVID-19. At this time, The Kern County Public Health Department has not reported any confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Kern County.  There is no immediate threat to the general public.
 
We encourage residents to practice good public health hygiene, as this is the height of the flu season.
 
While City facilities may be open and operational with appropriate measures to protect the health of the community, we are planning for several contingency scenarios and taking decisive, informed action to limit the spread of COVID-19, while also ensuring the continuity of our services and programs.
 
The health and safety of our community is our top priority. We will continue to monitor the situation with public health agencies and will update our website at www.californiacity-ca.gov about what other actions may be taken.
