Advisory

COVID-19. WHAT SHOULD YOU DO IF YOU HAVE SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS?

What to do if you are having flu like symptoms: fever, chills, muscle aches, cough, congestion, runny nose, headaches and fatigue.

If you’re sick with flu like symptoms stay home. Provide self-care until you are either fever free for 24 hours without medications for fever or until you need emergency care.
If you have an Emergency need that requires an ambulance, call 911. Tell the dispatcher that you are having flu like symptoms so that the Ambulance Staff can have protective gear on when they get to you.

If you feel like you need Emergent Care delivered by the Emergency Room and you are driving yourself or having someone drive you please call ahead (505-753-7111) so that we can plan for you. We will direct you to the appropriate entrance. Please wear a surgical mask, if you have one, when around other people and before you get to the ER. If you need someone to accompany you keep it to one person.

If you would like to discuss your signs and symptoms with a provider consider calling the State General Public Line 1-855-600-3453, a nurse call hotline number (on the back of your insurance card) 24/7, e-visit, on line video chat with RN or MD or call 505-753-7111.
