Alert

Urgent health alert issued for East Liverpool, Ohio due to COVID-19.

The East Liverpool City Health District is in daily communication with the Ohio Department of Health, CDC, East Liverpool City Hospital, and our community partners.  At this time, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the City of East Liverpool or in Columbiana County.  As of now we are concentrating on preventing the spread of the virus.  Stay home, remember if it's not necessary to go to an event don't go,  stay away from large gatherings,  and quarantine if you have a cold or fever or if you been around a confirmed case of COVID-19.  We are taking this very serious and we want everyone to follow the recommendations provided by the ODH and the CDC:

  1. Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, cover your mouth with a tissue or sleeve when sneezing or coughing
  2. Use alcohol-based sanitizer when soap and water are unavailable
  3. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands
  4. Stay home when you are sick
  5. Avoid contact with people who are sick
  6. Clean "high-touch" surfaces daily (tabletops, counters, light switches, doorknobs, phones, desks, tablets, and toilets).
  7. Flu shots are  encouraged
We all need to change our habits right now so we can get ahead of this. We will keep the community updated as information becomes available to us.  The public may also call the COVID-19 Call Center at 1-833-4-ASK-ODH with any questions or concerns. Stay healthy.

Instructions:

We are taking this very serious and we want everyone to follow the recommendations provided by the ODH and the CDC.
