Please take note that the Byram Township Health Department will remain open on Thursday March 19, 2020 until 7:00pm to allow residents to obtain a copy of their septic/well records as part of current digitization/destruction project outlined below. 

Byram Township has been working with the Sussex County Health Department and the New Jersey Division or Archives and Records Management to digitize and destroy physical copies of duplicate Septic and Well records that have been received from the Sussex County Health Department that are currently being maintained at the Byram Township Municipal Building.

Accordingly, in the future, Byram Township will no longer be receiving copies of these records from the Sussex County Health Department.  If you require a copy of those records, you will be able to obtain a copy from the Sussex County Health Department’s website. At Sussex.NJ.US  simply click on Departments / Health (Division of) / Health Records / Septic and Well Documents. 

At this time, we are providing an opportunity for our residents to obtain the physical duplicate copy of their septic and well records that are currently in the possession of Byram Township.   If you are interested in obtaining a physical duplicate copy, you can visit the Byram Township Health Department located at 10 Mansfield Drive, Monday – Friday between the hours of 11:30am and 4:30pm.

Please be sure to stop in prior to April 1, 2020 as we anticipate the completion of the records destruction project by that date.  A copy of your driver’s license will be required to obtain the records.  After the date above, all records will need to be obtained from the Sussex County Health Department website following the directions listed above.
