Detectives from the Apple Valley Police Department are conducting a Death Investigation

INCIDENT: Death Investigation
LOCATION: 16700 Block of Quivero Road, Apple Valley, CA
VICTIM(S): Tommie Buckner, age 23, a resident of Apple Valley
SUMMARY: On March 8, 2020, at 9:07 a.m., Deputy Pruett of the Apple Valley Police Station responded for a man down call in the 16700 block of Quivero Road. Upon arrival, Deputy Pruett found Tommie Buckner slumped over the rear seat of a vehicle parked outside a residence. Buckner was unresponsive and paramedics from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District pronounced Buckner deceased at the scene.
Due to the decedent's age and location in which he was found, detectives were called to further investigate, as well as, the Coroner's Office. The preliminary investigation did not note an obvious cause of death and Buckner's body was transported to the Coroner's office to complete a thorough examination. There are no further details at this time.
