AVOID George St starting Tuesday March 10th due sanitary sewer repairs which will last approximately 4 days. 
The Town has awarded a contract to Jo-Med Contracting Corp to perform sewer main repairs on various streets in town. Jo Med Corp will be replacing portions of the sewer main on George St starting on or about Tuesday March 10, 2020. The total working time is expected to be four days, pending weather.
What to expect during construction:
1. Mark Gandy of Morristown Engineering Division will inspect the project and will be available at 973-292-6721 or the above number to help you with any special concerns or questions. Any and all topics pertaining to the construction work should be addressed directly to the Engineering Division at the phone numbers indicated herein.
2. Work hours will be from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm.
3. George St will be closed to vehicular traffic at Martin Luther King Ave during construction. Lincoln St will be operated as 2-way traffic with the assistance of multiple traffic control officers to maintain access to the neighborhood.
4. Lincoln St and George St will have parking restricted during work. Parking restrictions will be posted in advance. Please have cars off the road by 7:00 am.
5. Cars in violation of parking restrictions will be removed from the street. Alternate parking can be found at Gramby Playground, Center St, or Coal Ave parking lots.
6. Access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times.
