Deputy Rollins located about 70lbs. of marijuana during a routine traffic stop; Juan Haros was arrested and cited

SUSPECT: Juan Haros, 26 years old, resident of Lucerne Valley
SUMMARY:
On March 5, 2020, at 9:41 p.m., Apple Valley Deputy Jacob Rollins observed a white Toyota pick up driving with no lights on and conducted an enforcement stop. Deputy Rollins immediately smelled a strong odor of marijuana. The driver, Juan Haros, did not have a driver’s license which led to Deputy Rollins having the vehicle towed. While searching the vehicle, Rollins located approximately 70 pounds of freshly processed marijuana in numerous large bags.
Haros was arrested for HS 11360 (a), Possession / Transportation of Marijuana For Sale. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center and issued a citation for the misdemeanor charge. The marijuana and a quantity of U.S. currency was taken as evidence.
