HARDIN COUNTY EMA TO CONDUCT EMERGENCY EXERCISE

Savannah, TN – The Tennessee Department of Health along with the Hardin County Emergency Management Agency, and other local, regional, and State partners will conduct an emergency response exercise in Hardin County on Tuesday March 10, 2020.
 
Agencies will test plans to deliver medical supplies to local citizens in the event of a terrorist attack or other public health emergency in the area.  Multiple emergency response agencies and vehicles, including helicopters, will be involved in the exercise.  This is a great opportunity for multiple agencies to work together and test emergency plans.
 
Residents in Counce and Savannah will be most impacted by the exercise between 9AM and 11AM.  We encourage citizens to please be patient as emergency vehicles move through the area.
 
Media interested in covering the exercise will need to meet at Packaging Corporation of America, located at 6715 Hwy 57 in Counce at 8:45AM.  There will also be an opportunity to get video and photographs at Hardin Medical Center, located on Wayne Road in Savannah at 10:00AM.
