Search Warrant Yields Guns and Drugs (Paloma, CA)


On February 26, 2020, Deputies from the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant onto an address located in the 6000 block of Messinger Flat Road in Paloma. During the investigation, Deputies located two stolen off-highway vehicles, two stolen equipment trailers, and a large gasoline powered compressor which had also been reported as stolen.
In addition, four firearms were seized including a handgun which was reported as being stolen.
Over 79 pounds of processed marijuana along with counterfeit money, ammunition, burglary tools, prescription pills (without a valid prescription) and evidence of controlled substance use and sales were seized from the scene.

Eric Gabriel Sosa (age 41 of Paloma) was arrested and booked into the Calaveras County Jail on the following charges with a bail of $100,000.
