Red Hare Brewery's annual 5K fundraiser "Hoppin' Into Spring" takes place this morning.  The race will begin at 8:00 AM and follow the same route as previous years. 

For those unfamiliar, this race begins at Red Hare Brewing (1998 Delk Industrial Blvd SE Marietta GA 30067), turns South onto Franklin Gateway, then West onto Delk Road (Highway 280) to Cobb Parkway South (Highway 41).  The race then proceeds Northbound on Cobb Parkway to 1021 Cobb Parkway South, where it doubles back on the same route, ending back at the brewery.

Because the race doubles back on itself, the foot traffic will be significant and will cause traffic delays for approximately two hours.  If you have business in the area please plan accordingly and delay arrival until after 9:30 am if possible.

Officers will be on the route to block roads and WILL attempt to allow vehicles to pass when race participants are not present.  All roads on the route will have at least one lane in each direction open, but all side roads and business entrances will be impacted.
