Vehicle Pursuit Leads to Search Warrant Execution
On February 27th, 2020 at 4:15pm, Officer Traynor initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling on N. Randall Avenue near E. Milwaukee Street for a traffic violation. Officer Traynor attempted to stop the vehicle however the vehicle failed to stop. A short vehicle pursuit was initiated.
Officers later relocated the suspect vehicle on Erie Drive near Hyacinth Ave. and identified the suspect driver as Zachary Terpstra. Officers also observed an adult female in the front passenger seat of the suspect vehicle crying. The suspect vehicle fled the area as officers tried to approach the vehicle.
The Street Crimes Unit with the assistance of Patrol Officers later executed a search warrant at 304 Madison Street, upper apartment.
Terpstra was arrested and later held at the Rock County Jail.
