Wilmington Police arrest two men for attempted robbery:
Wilmington Police have arrested two men for attempted robbery.
On February 22 at approximately 12:26 a.m. patrol officers responded to the 2700 block of West 5th Street for a shots fired complaint. Officers made contact with 30-year-old Robert Littlejohn of New Castle and 25-year-old Khalil Rodriguez-Fitzgerald of Smyrna. Both men were taken into custody without incident.
Police recovered two loaded 9mm handguns.
Through continued investigation, the Criminal Investigations Division was able to identify both men as suspects in an attempted robbery incident.
Littlejohn was charged with the following offenses:
- Attempted Robbery 1st Degree (2 counts)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (5 counts)
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Conspiracy 2nd Degree
Rodriguez-Fitzgerald was charged with the following offenses:
- Attempted Robbery 1st Degree (2 counts)
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
- Reckless Endangering 1st Degree (5 counts)
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Conspiracy 2nd Degree
