LOCATION: Ocean Township High School
ACCUSED: Eric Barragan 18 year old male of Eatontown, NJ
NARRATIVE: On February 25th 2020, the Ocean Township Police Department received information from administrators at the Ocean Township High School regarding a threat that had been made toward the school. Investigation revealed that a person, later identified as former Ocean Township High School student Eric Barragan, had made threatening statements on a social media website. Members of the Ocean Township Police Department were able to identify and locate the accused, who was ultimately taken into custody and charged with Making a False Public Alarm. It was determined that the threat is not credible at this time. The accused was charged on a criminal summons and was later released from custody.
