Starting mid-afternoon yesterday the police department received numerous calls concerning Renewal By Andersen solicitors going door-to-door wanting to sell replacement window products.
Calls were received from the Iron Ridge development, Riding Club Estates, and Spring Hill Acres.
The solicitors did not have a permit; three of them were apprehended and are being charged with violating the Borough soliciting ordinance.
Cornwall Borough, West Cornwall Township, and Mount Gretna Borough all require a soliciting permit. The police department sends a community message anytime a soliciting permit is issued.
Residents are urged to contact the police to report solicitors not having a permit.
