Lake Effect Snow Warning until 01:00PM Thursday

* WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 10 inches. Snowfall rates may reach 1 to 2 inches per hour at times early Thursday morning.

* WHERE...Northern Oneida, Onondaga, Madison and Southern Oneida counties. The heaviest snow will develop along and north of the Thruway from Jordan to Utica...and south of Camden and Rome NY.

* WHEN...From 7 PM this evening to 1 PM EST Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Roads will become snow covered very quickly. Heavy snowfall rates will create very poor visibility as well. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute along the I-90 corridor and into the Syracuse metro area.

* AFFECTED AREAS: MADISON ... ONONDAGA ... SOUTHERN ONEIDA ... NORTHERN ONEIDA
