INCIDENT: CONSPIRACY/HOME INVASION/ FELON IN POSSESSION OF FIREARMS/ FELON IN POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION/ ILLEGAL MARIJUANA GROW/ THEFT OF UTILITIES

LOCATION: 9600 Block of Farmington, Baldy Mesa

SUSPECT(S): Scott Conner, 41 years-old, of Long Beach
Peter Vanosting, 42 years-old, of Long Beach
Jack Ries, 34 years-old, of Hesperia
Ryan Cuska, 26 years-old, of Hesperia
Paul Su, 57 years-old, of Baldy Mesa
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at 4:18 am, deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station received a 911 call regarding a home invasion robbery in progress in the 9600 block of Farmington in Baldy Mesa.

According to the caller, subjects were seen arriving in a moving truck and forcing the front gate open. Once on the property, the subjects kicked the front door of the residence to gain entry. The caller believed the owner of the residence was home.

Deputies responded and located the suspects, Scott Conner, Peter Vanosting, Jack Ries, and Ryan Cuska on the property. All suspects attempted to flee but were taken into custody without incident. No one living at the residence was injured.

Through the investigation, it was learned the owner of the house, Paul Su, was illegally growing Marijuana and illegally appropriating utilities from Southern California Edison. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Marijuana Enforcement Team responded to conduct the investigation into the illegal Marijuana grow.

Scott Conner, Peter Vanosting, Jack Ries and Ryan Cuska were all booked at High Desert Detention Center for conspiracy, home invasion robbery, felon in possession of a firearm and felon in possession of ammunition. Items located inside the vehicle could be linked to Scott Conner and were enough to also charge Conner with running a Butane Oil Honey Lab. Scott Conner and Peter Vanosting are documented gang members. Their bail amounts had not been set at the time of this release.

Paul Su was booked at High Desert Detention Center for theft of utilities and operating an illegal Marijuana grow. He is currently being held in lieu of $30,000.00 bail.
