The National Weather Service in Greenville-Spartanburg has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Habersham County thru 07:00 am.
At 645 AM EST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 11 miles southwest of Clayton to 5 miles northwest
of Clarkesville to 8 miles southeast of Cleveland, moving east at
45 mph. Will having 60mph wind gusts expect damage to trees and power lines.
These storms are also producing extremely heavy rainfall. Flooding of
drainage ditches and low lying areas may occur. Small streams will
rise rapidly. Do not drive through areas where water is flowing over
the road.
